On May 19, 2012 the Barrington Garden Club sponsored a plant sale, featuring plants from members' gardens as well as vegetable plants started from seed by members. The photo above shows a Purple Cherokee from a plant started by Marilynn Renner, BGC member, gardener extraordinaire and 2012 recipient of the club's Ora Hopkins civic beautification and environmental award.
