Filming Wild Rhode Island: Why, How and for Whom

On Tuesday, October 15, Barrington Garden Club will present Gerald H. Krausse, who took up photography and videography over ten years ago after retiring from a career as a professor at the University of Rhode Island College of the Environment and Life Sciences. He will discuss the impact of today's technology, advanced single-lens reflex cameras(SLR), iPhones and consumer camcorders that have produced the wildlife images and videos that appear on YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook. He is a self taught independent wildlife filmmaker focusing mainly on small mammals and coastal birds of New England.

Join us in the Barrington Public Library at 12:00 noon for refreshments. The short business meeting and program will follow at 12:30 pm.
