INFO: UMass Extension OCT - DEC 2012 GREEN SCHOOL
Green School, a comprehensive 12-day certificate short course for Green
Industry professionals taught by UMass Extension Specialists and University
of Massachusetts faculty, begins October 31, 2012 in Marlborough, Mass. The
research-based curriculum emphasizes a systems-based approach to plant care
and focuses on environmental stewardship, Best Management Practices (BMPs)
and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Green School runs October 31 - December 12, 2012, twice weekly from 9:00
a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 265 Lakeside Ave., Marlborough, MA.
This bi-annual program will not be offered again until Fall 2014.
Students choose a 'specialty track' when registering. Three specialty tracks
are offered for the green industry:
- Landscape Management
- Turf Management
- Arboriculture
